I have normally had my laptops for office, and only used my desktop for playing games.

At first, I was a bit skeptical on a laptop’s speaker, but after I turned it up, it was surprisingly better. I have never got any distortions, you can immediately tell it has a subwoofer.
I have tried ANNO 1404, starcraft II and many games, it works great even with the highest settings, and did not get any heating problems.
The cooling process on this machine is the best I have known and is also really quiet.
Appearance wise, this ASUS G74SX-A1 has an excellent quality.
Solid case, the rubberized outer-shell feels good, and the ports as well as the jacks are really solid. The LED backlight screen is clear and bright, although it is a glare type.
The fact that this machine includes USB 3.0 port is also great, a faster transfer rate.
This laptop has a cool futuristic appearance, the logo on the back is attractive, and also has the capacity and specs to do the job smoothly, you will be able to play every modern games with max settings without warming issues.
The only thing that bugs me a bit is this ASUS G74SX-A1 Republic of Gamers 17.3-Inch Gaming Laptop is relatively large and heavy, now the question, do you need to carry it around?
This machine works best on your desk, because it is heavy because of it has a whole lot gaming power inside a laptop.
However, this Asus G74 can be portable because it comes with backpack and not a case for a laptop, since you can transport more weight in a backpack. I would strongly recommend sending the warranty card which is packed with the machine.
